Zoey 101 - Season Premiere Review

(I posted this somewhere else - with modifications - to people who
actually the watch the show)

I just watched the new episode. Looks like they fired Alexa Nikolas
(Nicole - it's all Britney's fault) and I'm not happy about it at all.

Egads. You and I actually agree on something...

I've never really liked the character Zoey and I think Jamie Lynn is just
sort of boring as an actress.

When is it on? Do they have encore presentations of new episodes?

AFAICT, the "Zoey" season #3 premiere is not being rerun during the next
week or so. Episode #3.2 will be on this Sunday at 8pm, however.

But, *more importantly*, the season #3 premiere of "Ned's
Declassified..." is being rerun at least tomorrow at 6pm. Episode #3.2
of "Ned..." will then be on this Sunday at 7:30pm... :)

With Nicole gone, I think they just transferred all of the Nicolish jokes
to Quinn without her boy-craziness. So now Quinn the Mad Scientist is the
Brainy and Upbeat/Funny character all in one. Quinn is funny, but the
Nicole type jokes don't really fit her. Quinn is nerdy weird funny not

Exactly.

Unlike Dana, Nicole's character was actually crucial to the proceedings
of "Zoey". Without her, the show has no heart/humor.

Bad things happen when you let your star behave like a diva to the point
where people are driven off the show (see: Hillary Duff & Lalaine and
"Lizzie MacGuire's" last few episodes)...

Nicole. Quinn has been always sort of an outsider of the group and making
her an insider makes her different.

In the first and second season, Quinn was a weirdo as a roommate to Zoey
and other people. As for how Zoey will deal with Quinn who did all those
weird things in her room in the first and second season, I think they'll
just change Quinn's character so she doesn't do those weird things much
anymore. Not very good writing, but I would be surprised if they did
something different.

Even worse (at least for me), the first two episodes of the new season are
very Zoey/Chase-centric. I think the relationship between the two is the

It's like I said elsewhere - the show has gone full-tilt "soap".

Anyway, my other point was the salient one - forget this show (and
"Drake & Josh"): the only NICK show worth watching is "Ned's
Declassified...".

Stick with "Ned..."! Forget the rest!!

last thing I want to watch. It's OK watching the two together as
friends, but I don't really like watching episodes just about the two
because nothing really happens except with both of them acting really
cheesy with each other.

Anyway, I hope the best for Alexa Nikolas because I really do love her.
Liked her in Vanessa Hudgenss music video. She's really cute!
