Alec Baldwin is comedy gold.

He is.
He steals every scene he's in.
He's waaay too good for TV.
It's like Glenngary Glen Ross every week.

I caught the last half of this show - first time I've seen this show.
Produced by Lorne Michael hunh? This show seems to be funnier than
SNL. I'll be back for next week too.

Great episode last night, and it's now available at nbc.com.

I liked it a lot more than the first episode, but mainly to the extent
that Baldwin was on-screen.

30 Rock rocks. Not only is Baldwin comedy gold, but Tina Fey's writing
has never been this funny before, and she's a pretty good straight
woman for Baldwin, too. Best non-laugh track sitcom since Andy Richter
Controls the Universe.

Which sitcom with a laugh track was better?

I agree that Alec Baldwin is excellent. I liked all of his scenes.
Generally though, I didn't find the episode all that great until they got to
the boat. The scenes with the writers were especially flat for me.

I like Baldwin, but other than that the show was dreadful. It just
didn't make me laugh.
|
"Proud as a Pea-COCK!" was pretty funny. :-)

Yes, Baldwin is great, but the real surprise for me has been Tracy
Morgan. I never found him very funny on SNL (except for Astronaut
Jones), but he's a much better fit here, maybe because part of the joke
is how bad his comedy is (I loved the clip of his "brilliant" standup
act).

Could not agree more. On another note, I must admit I only figured out
what 30 Rock means when the opening credits panned across 30
Rockefeller Plaza during tonight's episode.
