TD Note: With no "CSI" to contend with, the second outing of ABC's
"American Inventor" (8.6/13, 12.99 million) did well with little loss from

it fares opposite a new "CSI" next week.

Obveeus...
Top ranked show for the night...but it was not a repeat.

Diane M...
What do they 'still dominant'? It was only dominant because WAT wasn't

obveeus...
Huh?

showing an episode. Wait 'til next Thursday, and I'm betting WAT will be
back in first place at 10 p.m.

obveeus...
Probably...and NBC certainly didn't help that situation by failing to
get the word out that ER would be showing a new episode. They missed a
golden opportunity to try and capture an audience.

Diane M

Tiny Dancer...
Thanks for the help. My online guide had it listed as a repeat.

obveeus...
I wonder how much ER ratings were hurt by the change from a repeat
episode to a fresh one without notifying viewers? NBC has 'extra'
episodes of lots of shows because of the Olympic coverage. Those extra
episodes should help them gain viewers while other channels are showing
repeats or specialty programming like the NCAAs...but it won't help if
NBC fails to market correctly.

altec3220...
I only realized it was a new episode five minutes before it aired. My
Yahoo! TV listings had it as a repeat so I was ready to switch over to
something else at 10:00 but while I was watching My Name Is Earl the
promo for ER said it was all new. I checked NBC.com and sure enough,
new episode.
