Would anyone know what these two are about?
Rob Jensen...
|
Aquaman is a Smallville-meets-Baywatch spin on the DC Comics
character. Between the backdoor pilot appearance of AC on Smallville
this season and the pilot as it was filmed, they've replaced the title
character *twice* and even threatened to title the show "Mercy Reef"
for at least a time. It's in creative disarray. Even if it makes it
to the fall schedule, it won't last more than 13 episodes at best.
Runaway, don't know about, don't care about. Pilots are not in any
way news in and of themselves, no matter how much promise a given
premise might show from plot descriptions released to Variety and the
Hollywood Reproter. Pilots are simply too tentative until they're
added to the fall schedule. The OP was posing his speculation about
the CW's schedule, not any sort of actual leaked schedule, btw.

*happy sing-song voice*: I'M THINKING 'Gidget'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D

Are "What I Like About You" and "Twins" definitely cancelled?
Rob Jensen...
|
Definitely as in "Cancellations have been announced," no. "Cancelled"
as in "the cancellations don't need to have been announced for them to
start looking for other jobs," then yes.

Wasn't WILAY's finale described as a "series finale"? (FWIW, I have
WILAY down as "(officially) cancelled" on My TV Shows Status Page - I'm
pretty sure the 'plug pulling' was in a published article.)
"Twins'" fate hasn't been announced yet. And while I think they'd be
smart to bring it back, it looks like it won't happen.

John Duncan Yoyo...
|
Aquaman is about Aquaman as spun off from a Smallville appearance. I
ANIM8Rfsk...
|
Well, not really. They changed it totally from the Smallville version.
I
|
think it may resemble the current OYL Aquaman series from DC comics
ANIM8Rfsk...
|
AFAIK it doesn't resemble any version of Aquaman ever seen.
John Duncan Yoyo...
|
I think they may be using bits and pieces from the Aquaman origin from
the current Aquaman in Sword of Atlantis which is supposed to resemble
the golden age Aquaman origin. Throw in a few swipes from the Man
From Atlantis and you have a series.

but that is just a guess.

Midseason:
Everwood
Aliens in America (Comedy) it's being held offically for midseason if
it were to pick up.
