He passed the biometric scan, a lot more reliable
than a forgeable signature. And he wasn't a one-time
"visitor", he was a trusted person with a reason
to be there. But, agreed, the company was putting
all its security eggs in the front-desk basket,
presumably in the name of efficiency.

I wasn't really thinking of the signature as identification, just a way
to keep track of who is in the building and where they are, but you're
right, the thumbprint and appointment would take care of that. Still,
he should have a visitor's badge, and someone should have come down to
escort him to his meeting, since he didn't have his own badge with him
when he went in.

A UV who trusts the front desk so much that he
doesn't bug his own outer office and have some
last-ditch defenses has lost his Uness.
A sign of true Uness, though, he's the first
V I can recall to successfully con Jack.

Anf _presumably_ most of them don't contain numerous
people, some with villainous intent, working on
weapons of mass destruction.
"Good morning, Mrs. Ross, Please apply your
thumb to the pad. No, _your_ thumb, not the
one in the plastic bag. Always a little joke,
right, Mrs. Ross?"

On a scale of 1-10 what did you give it?

for logic? the same as always: a three - and that's a stretch. on the
level of entertainment, a bit lower than usual, maybe 7.

This one was good for a 9, the highest score I've given since hour 1.
Suspense, action, humor and the timely comeuppance of McGill.
Best line: "What shall we do Mr. Manning?"
Postman's Holiday...

I have to agree. A particularly good episode. Nice to see Peter
Weller, who seems to be somwewhat under appreciated as an actor, taking
a role as the bad guy. And one with some knowledge of the inner
workings of CTU. Should get interesting in the next few weeks.
Was nice to see McGill confronted and removed. But with his missing
CTU pass card, expect to see his return in the not too distant future.
Although not to a position of authority.
Is is true, next week is a two-part episode? Excellent.

I was actually more entertained by some of the lines than that "action"
tonight.
Best moment of the episode:
Henderson : I was set up!
Bauer : Who set you up?
Henderson : Nina Myers. George Mason. Who knows...
LOL! (Yeah, sure! - blame *everything* on Nina & George, whydon'tya?!)
(Aside: Does the timeline even work on that?! George had been around CTU
a while. But hadn't Nina only been there about a year back in season #1?

No, she'd been around much longer than that. Long enough to have had an
affair with jack that was over.
Also Alberta made some reference to working FOR Nina in the past, and
now she'd eclipsed her as her boss. Some one else had referenced Nina
had been a star at CTU but was now considered Jack's flunky.

They seemed to actually spend some money in this episode.
I liked seeing the fat hobbit get all flustered and yell real loud a
lot! What happened to the bruise he had from getting jumped? Oh well,

You spelled that wrong - It's "fat hobitssesss"

Jack's bald spot is gone too.
Nice mentions to Myers and Maon, clearly Coto or Fury thought to place
this into the story.
Funny stuff: Lynne arguing that they're in a real-time crisis situation.
The driver of he motorcade saying to turn around and then a show of the
motorcycles and limo moving at 15 mph, tops!
The flame-thrower, they should have added a burning Japanese guy running
out of a sewer or something.
Jack's done well against the Mummy, a Vampire but Robocop is another
story. I don't think he has the technical know how to defeat a cyborg
and all Cloe can do is pout while Edger tries to eat his fleshy parts.
Not much of a cliffhanger, you're supposed to end the episode with the
explosion and cut to the clock, you show Jack climb out of the hole (why
that was there I have no idea) next week. Don't these people know how to

It was a computer room. They have removable panels on the floor. The
wiring usually runs under the floor. There are usually some suction cup
handles in a room like that for you to use to remove panels.
