Didn't think much of the mystery or Keith's storyline but these are
great characters so it's hard for them to make a bad episode. And the
new guy is also very easy to like.
The new opening credits are awful, though. When something cool happens
at the end of the pre-credits sequence they need to fire up an
energetic theme and get everyone jazzed. What's with this mellow
remix?

I like watching the characters interact but didn't find the storyline

2.5 stars, with the half a star being for the last five minutes which
were excellent. However, the rest of the episode was devoted to
establishing new characters, re-establishing old ones, and getting
us used to a new setting. Oh yes, and a transparent mystery thrown into
the mix. After getting all of this stuff out of the way, I have high
hopes for improvement next week now that a couple of story arcs have
been started.
Veronica and Logan together again as a couple? Gotta admit I didn't see
that coming.

4.7 stars. I love the new credits. I'm looking forward to Veronica
Mars. Looks like it will be an interesting season ! The transition from
highschool to college no sweat. Apparently episode 2 is even better.

4. There are some things that happened that don't make sense to me.
The trouble with Veronica Mars is that it could be one of three
things: 1) something we forgot 2) something we don't know yet 3) bad
writing.
I really have no idea which.

I actually think it's things we forgot, at least for me. This show is
so complex and layered that if you miss a detail or a plot point you
might be lost later. For example, I barely remembered the Kendall
plotline so much of what happened had me puzzled.

I missed it. Does anyone know when they will rebroadcast in the Los Angeles area? The used
to do it on Sat, but I don't know if they will continue due to the new CW transition. It
used to air on UPN here, now it is on WB

I'm going to have to confess -- I got my BA in Theater (Dramaturgy ad
Stage Management) from San Diego State several years ago, so I wasn't
able to watch the episode objectively, not while they're calling it
"Hearst College." Hell, where Piz's car was parked when he was
showing the vandalism to Veronica wasn't even a place that we've ever
been able to park there. (What? One of the parking garages wasn't
good enough?) Just cannot watch the show anymore and keep a straight
face.
Love the new graphics for the opening, but they've got to go back to
the original version of the theme song to go with it. The remix
doesn't work.

Agreed! The original version made for a great opening.

I'll try to watch it again later this week when I've got a little
distance from the shock of them trying to pass SDSU off as another
college.
