That's a lot more respect than any other actor who breaks his contract just
before the start of a new season would get.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been doing this for years. The first
time I can remember it happening was an episode that mirrored the Elian
Gonzalez mess, some FOUR DAYS after it happened. The 2000 presidential
election also spawned something in very short order, and I'm almost
positive there have been a couple of other examples as well. When it
comes to turning out truly timely television--animated or not--no one
does it better than Parker and Stone.

A South Park episode is created from beginning to end in 6 days.
Changes to the episode are often made the day before the episode airs
on TV.

I've seen lots of episodes that mention events that have occured during
the previous few days before the episode airs. For example in the
Trapped in the Closet episode, the Denver Broncos 7-2 record was
mentioned when in fact that was the record they acheived only 3 days
prior to episode air time.

Yup, I don't know how many staff members they have to draw and snip
construction paper, but it's a lot fewer than the number of Scientology
OSA 'bots. They really manage to do a lot with very simple technology.

Not so much any more. They don't use construction paper, they use Macintoshes.

Well, that is simple technology too. Even I can use a Mac, and somehow
it seems immune to spyware, so thank them for that. And while we're at
it, how about a South Park episode on the Microsoft cult? That would be
a no-brainer.

Well, first off, they managed to alter the "Romanian Quints" episode

out just 3 days after the whole Elian Gonzalez thing. With all the
technology at their fingertips, its pretty easy for them to get an
episode out quickly. And this time they actually had some notice,
because it's been at least 2 or 3 weeks (maybe longer) since Hayes
announced he was leaving the show.

Secondly - were you watching the same episode I was? If you paid any
attention, they clearly said that the blame should go on the "fruity
little club" and not Chef himself. The entire point of the episode was
to show that Isaac is their friend and has been for many years... and
it was because of a fruity club that he was turned against them.
