stonej...
Was there ever a Peanuts "Thanksgiving" TV special? I have vague
memories of the Peanuts gang
dressed as pilgrims but maybe I imagined it.

lambertman...
Besides "A CB Thanksgiving", there was the "Mayflower Voyages" episode
of "This is America, Charlie Brown", which is the one I believe you're
remembering.

Both are available on a DVD set in addition to the other suggestions
presented in this thread.

Jeffy3...
Both are indeed on the holiday box set, and although the Thanksgiving
episode is pretty good, the Mayflower one is horrendous!

Ubiquitous...
Yes. I don't recall the details, save that they had a lame Thanksgiving
dinner consisting of potato chips, pretzels, scrambled eggs, and candy.

I Lucy had a cow about that, too.

Russell Watson...
I think the bulk of the meal consisted of popcorn! And yes, Lucy went
off on "Chuck" for a inviting them all to a lame-ass T-giving dinner,
only to be reminded by Marcie that they actually invited themselves
and Mr. Brown did the best he could with the time and materials at
hand. All was made well when they ended going to Charlie Brown's
grandma's house for a traditional meal. It ends with them all in the
back of the Brown's station wagon singing "Over the river and through
the woods..."

Jude Cormier...
It was Peppermint Patty, not Lucy :)

et472...
Funny, I read it as "Peppermint Patty". I guess because I knew it
was her, and besides, the only one who falls "Charlie Brown" "Chuck"
is "Peppermint Patty". And you can't have "Marcie" without "Peppermint
Patty".

Russell Watson...
Yep, what you said.

Sean Walsh...
There sure was.

And ABC actually aired it last year - the first time it'd been on TV
since I was a kid (at least 15-20 years ago?)

Hoping they air it this year...

Anthony D. Langford...
I believe they air it every year, along with the Halloween special and
the Christmas special.

Sean Walsh...
CBS abandoned the yearly Thanksgiving showing at least 10 years ago.
Great Pumpkin and Christmas usually air every year, though...

et472...
Well no.

CBS lost the rights (or maybe decided not to renew them) so ABC has
been airing them in the US, though I can't recall how many years
it's been now.

Now, I've seen the Thanskgiving episode in recent years, but I'm not
sure if it's the US broadcast, or here in Canada in early October, just
before our Thanksgiving. I don't recall it airing here this year.

Sean Walsh...
Answering my own question.........tomorrow (Friday) at 8-9 (they note
it's a 40th Anniversary special)
