POSTPONED - any one else have a dual-network station that does this (routinely)?

videonovels...
Please note I'm not talking about sports or other pre-emptions. I'm
talking about pre-planned/routine postponement. For example:

My Grand Rapids MI station is both a WB and an "i" (formerly PAX)
affiliate. They show "i" programming 8/9 p.m. So while everyone else
is watching the latest Charmed, Smallville, or Gilmore Girls...

me...
Our local WB station used to also show UPN programming at
odd times (they showed the WB stuff at the correct time), but
that stopped when another channel added a digital only UPN channel.

... my local station forces us to wait until 6/7 p.m. the next day.
Meaning you've already seen the Smallville finale & I'm still waiting
until Friday at 6!

.

Patrick Joseph McNamara...
It's unlikely that they will have any CW programming next year. CW doesn't
even want "sports" channels which pre-empt their shows with sports coverage.

I don't know about that. The UPN stations are low-power stations that
barely broadcast 5 miles (inner city). Seems to me the new CW network
would choose the high-power WB/i affiliate that can cover a 100-mile
radius & several cities.

At least I hope that's what they do, because the UPN station is almost
unwatchable (I watch veronica mars in black-n-white).

Anyone else have stations with dual-network affiliation that routinely
postpones shows?

Patrick Joseph McNamara...
We've got a local station that's part independent and part CBC, but I've
never heard of one with dual affiliation.

Julien D....
I'm in Canada one of the local Vermont up state New York station is part
Fox part WB. We have the WB show the same night but at 10:00 and 11:00pm.

I have to wait until 11 pm on thurs for our UPN station to show
Smallville.
Back when Voyager/UPN was starting up, they offered their
programming (only a few hours) to stations in areas that didn't
yet have an affiliate. A local got it and did two showings a
week, one unconscionably late at night and one weekend afternoon.
At least the late night showing was unlikely to be postponed for
sports!

Brian Henderson...
Wouldn't know, I don't actually watch the networks, I just download
the shows I want to see and view them at my leisure. I haven't
watched a network channel in close to a decade. Heck, I don't even
have them coming into the house.

Jerry Davis...
No, I live someplace civilized.

Just kidding, I've never heard of such a thing. You might want to try a
dish?
