doctor...
What aboutthe cliffhangers?

Troy.Heagy...
.

Huh? What are you talking about?

If The Critics hate the movie, I usually go see it. I like to have an
open mind about a movie. I like to make up my own mind about what I
like and don't like There has only been one exception to that, the
critics were right on, and that was Star Wars Episode 2. That one
sucked. I really think more production companies should do like they
did with "Snakes on a Plane" and not let critics see it. Let the
viewers decide, after all, we are the ones shellilng out the money to
see it anyway.
Just my 2 cents.

Last year, I downloaded every episode (even the fan reconstructions of
missing episodes), and watched all of them back-to-back.

Brian Henderson...
You watched ~450 hours of Dr. Who straight? That's almost 19 days.
Sheesh, you really have no life, do you?

.

I found I enjoyed SOME of the old doctor. Specifically Doctors 4/5
(~1975 to 1983) when they were telling more rapid-paced science
fiction.

Major ChrisB...
two parts with Peri were good.

I honestly prefered Davison and Colin Baker's first season to everything
else....Tom Baker's Sarah Jane years were great too but I didn't like Leela
or the Romana's

mysty42...
Lalla Ward's Romana always reminded me of a living Barbie doll. But
then I was very young at the time.

videonovels...
Don't know who Lalla Ward is, but I think the blonde-haired Romana is
darn cute. She has a cute little nose. I'd date her.

But I can not stomach the 3-to-4 hour long, moving as slow as a snail,
storylines of pre-1974. Or the "insult the audience" dumbed-down
children's stories of post-1985. (Okay I exaggerate..... but only a
little.)

Like most shows, Doctor Who has a "golden age" and that happened during
the late 70s/early 80s. The years outside that areas are difficult to
stomach for casual fans (like me).

Brian (aka Zod)...
I got into Dr. Who last year when it started up again on the BBC (well i
downloaded the videos as i'm in Canada).

that got me into it.. and every summer i try to find something i haven't
watch before to get me through rerun season.

I tried to watch the very first dr. who eps, but I couldn't take the
black and white... so I've heard really good things about the tom baker

videonovels...
Your statement sounds funny. If you took Tom Baker and turned down
your color until he as black-and-white, woudl that make him
unwatchable? Do you boycott the black-n-white Twilight Zone too?

;-)

I too don't like the black-n-whites, but it's not because of the lack
of color. It's because Doctor Who was originally aimed at children, so
the 1960s stories are rather dumbed-down & simplistic.

Major ChrisB...
I dont watch anything in black and white that was made after colour was
avaliable....

except the movie Clerks.

eps, so i got all those, and just finished watching his 2nd season, so
i've got alot left. Not sure where to go after that. Was thing of
watching the season before baker to see how sarah jane got introduced.

takes along time to watch, 4-6 episodes an episode, and 6 eps a season..
its really messed up how it works.
