Per AP reports; so far no "story" yet on CNN, just one of those "alert"
messages on the top of the page.

Dang, what a downer this is. Jack was one of my favorite personalities. I
can't say I loved him as a serious actor but he had some very memorable
roles.
Russell Watson...
|
While his most lovable role was probably Curly in "City Slickers" he
had a lot of good ones. I for one actually liked the TV version of
"Dracula" he did back in the early-'70s. Not the worst version of that
story I've ever seen by far.

Yes, I saw that Dracula. Quite good.
KennyGee...
|
I haven't seen that. I'll be watching the binaries news groups closely
hoping someone will post it in memory of Jack.

Um
It's readily available on DVD, for like $12.
KennyGee...
|
I don't like him THAT much..

"Jack Palance, the craggy-faced menace in "Shane," "Sudden Fear" and
other films who turned to comedy at 70 with his Oscar-winning role in
"City Slickers," died Friday.
Palance died of natural causes at his home in Montecito, Calif.,
surrounded by family, said spokesman Dick Guttman. Palance was 85
according to Associated Press records. The family indicated he was 87."

Believe it... ... ... or not.

Arg! Beat me to it! (pouts, stomps feet)
-- Rob -- mad that most of the obits are leaving his run on Ripley's

Thanks for the details, I'm glad to hear it was just good old "natural
causes".

OK I LOVE Jack so don't take it the wrong way.
I wonder if Jack will be pushing up daises with one hand or two?
Seerialmom...
|
You know...I think most people will know exactly what you're
referencing there...and it's what I think of when I hear his name, too.
RIP Jack.
