But according to the article GM says it's not because of the "race"
issue...the plot thickens!

GM was never happy about the limited opportunities for product placement
on the show. After all, in any season there is at most one Reward
Challenge in which a GM car is the reward. And on Survivor, the car
Reward is famously "cursed"--no winner of the GM car Reward Challenge
has ever gone on to win the $1 million Sole Survivor prize. That's not
a great sales pitch for GM cars.

They probably just can't afford it anymore.

So how will that affect the car giveaway?
The host starts to say something about the car, and he's replaced by
a still photo of a car and a voiceover?

Ford should act fast I'd say :)

As long as it's not Chrysler. The Summer of Dr. Z can't end soon
enough.

Actually I take back the Ford suggestion....I had enough of Taylor
Hicks singing in those commercials (was that singing...hmmm). Actually
I'd FF when that came on so it didn't matter that much.

I didn't think about the cost factor from GM's side. Ok...time to roll
out the Toyotas then :)

Toyotas are better cars anyway, bully for GM they are so lame anyway

You're just mad they didn't get Subaru sponsorship back in season two
so as to be able to give away an Outback!

I think a Benz would be a very nice prize.
Anything but Ford. They'd have Taylor Hicks spending a night with the tribe.

They pulled their sponsorship months ago; they weren't ever involved in
this season.
