TheMott...
Awesome how Hiro came back, and was sounding and looking different. He
totally improved his geeky image. LOL. I love this show more each week.

edrhodes...
And he finally picked out a costume! No tights and mask, but it's a
costume just the same!

Just Another Victim of the Ambient Morality...
So do I but that's not saying much considering how I really didn't like
the show to begin with. However, it's finally starting to pick up. Last
week's cliffhanger was interesting (although they really didn't do anything
with it) and this week's is very good. I'm hoping it continues to build
itself up into a good series!

Arthur Lipscomb...
AGREED!

Although by "message" I thought he was going to pull his sword and chop the

jayembee...
I was thinking the message would be "Don't trust Jordan Collier".

lisa...
Yes!

Richard DeLuca...
Okay, fill me in please. Jordon Collier- the father of the cheerleader?

jayembee...
No, the character on THE 4400 played by Billy Campbell. He "died",
was abducted and resurrected by the Future People, and returned
to the present, where he became a Messiah figure. It's always
been kept unclear whether his goals, and his means to achieve
them, are to the world's benefit.

~Îñ©üßu§~...
Jordon Collier, The 4400

Richard DeLuca...
Good grief- what an awful series THAT was! Thanks.

Tom...
Waddya mean "was?" It's on hiatus, back in January, IIRC. It's not

jayembee...
More likely June.

jayembee...
No, not awful, but not especially good, either. It started off
reasonably well, but the last two seasons demonstrated a *lot*
of wasted potential.

HEROES has, so far, managed to progress further in 4 episodes
than THE 4400 has done in 30.

awful, either.

Go Cards,
Tom

guy's head off.

Ken from Chicago...
Just like Luke Skywalker in ROTJ vs ANH.

ravenlynne...
I'm concerned about how bad the future is that he needs to walk around

jayembee...
When Hiro said, "I have a message from the future", was I the only
one who was waiting for him to pause, and then say, "Don't listen
to Jordan Collier"?

with a Katana.

Lizard...
He does it because it's cool! This is still Hiro we're talking
about...

David Johnston...
He can't use a gun while time frozen so it's probably about the most
effective weapon he can pack.

John H...
Why can't he use a gun? He can breathe, remember.

Clell Harmon...
While time is 'frozen' Hiro can move about and manipulate things. When
he releases them they re freeze. If he fired a pistol, the round would
freeze in time as soon as it left his sphere if influence.

Tom...
But what if he shot the pizza delivery guy while he had time frozen?

Quiet Desperation...
Free pizza.

Victor Velazquez...
They don't serve nearly as much pizza in the joint as people might guess.

Lilith...
Frozen pizza?

Go Cards,
Tom

John H...
So what? Hiro takes a gun, aims it at someone's head a point blank range,
shoots, repeat as many times as there's enemies, unfreezes time and watch
everyone's head explode. Actually, I believe Kamen Rider Faiz did just that

David Johnston...
I don't think the fulminate would ignite until he unfroze.

John H...
You can't have things both ways, if its in his sphere of influence, as in

David Johnston...
I didn't mean to imply that he has a "sphere of influence". He
doesn't seem to. It's just a matter of nothing moving unless he
directly moves it.

its movable, then it reacts like time's moving. If the gun is moving, then
the bullets will fire. It would be cool to see how far from his body the
bullets will get before they freeze. Or if its a function of his
observation, rather than some sort of automatic sphere.

with his hypermode and his Rider Kick. <--- Hiro would, of course, know
exactly what I'm talking about here.

Clell Harmon...
All true, but the sword (properly used) would be an immediate weapon by
Hiro's POV, not the delayed until he rejoins the time stream. Also IF
the bad guy(s) can join him in the time frozen state, his pistol would
be worse than useless.

Lilith...

Tom...
ROFLMAO!!!!

Lilith, you really crack me up!

Lilith...
Thank you. I'm appearing here all week.

Clell Harmon...
Then someone would get a free pizza.

This is so funny, I may not care if the Mets win tonight, but they
won't! ;-)

Go Cards,
Tom
And then he could get out of the way and it would look as if the
bullet magically appeared out of nowhere.

Clell Harmon...
Well, sure, but in such a situation, the pistol would not be an
immediate weapon like his sword would be.

David Johnston...
Because things only move for him when he's directly touching them.
While he could pull the trigger and then come out of freeze, with a
sword he can use it while actually in timefreeze, avoiding that moment
of vulnerability going in and out of freeze.

John H...
Hiro's got his katana... now all we need is to hook him up with a bike and
laptop...

markr1000...
Teleporting would be great for delivering pizza.

Eric D. Berge...
Well, that would be a good job for a Protagonist.

markr1000...
Glad somebody got it, though maybe its been mentioned enough already,
ever since we found out his name was Hiro.
Hiro...katana...laptop...though I think he drove a car in the opening
scene of the book.

Forge...
1/30 of a second or less or your pizza will have been free.

(Gotta watch that time-related grammar...)

Ken from Chicago...
Ask Blade.

ravenlynne...
Can't. Cancelled...lol...

~consul...
I was going to say that he was a fugitive ...

Anim8rFSK...
Was Blade cancelled? I never heard a final word on that.

Forge...
Yup - now we'll just have Mercury commercials to enjoy Jill Wagner on.
They hadda get rid of it 'cuz they have SO MANY better things they can
air in its place.

ravenlynne...
Yes blade was cancelled.

Obveeus...
No, Blade was not cancelled. The show just changed formats. Instead of
being hunted by vampires he is now being hunted by the international police.
;-)

Yeah, I know, Wesley Snipes wasn't in the TV series, right? Who cares, it
was still funny.

MarkRRose...
HEY, where's the spoiler space? :)

ravenlynne...
I was announced widely 2 weeks ago...It's pretty much common knowledge..

MarkRRose...
which is unlike your ability to recognize a joke? :)

Ken from Chicago...
Or someone's ability to tell a joke. >=^>

ravenlynne...
And there you go.

Ken from Chicago...
I would know, having been on both sides of that deal.

Major ChrisB...
I'm now up to date with Heroes but the only thing thats really keeping me

Ken from Chicago...
Precisely. Someone had to carry the katana.

interested is Claire. Her story is the only one thats really intreguing me
but I'm hoping everyone else's comes together. Ali Larters story is boring
and the Japanese guy is pretty interesting...

John H...
I thought most people responding in this subthread got it.

John H...
Yes, but he was already wearing his black unitard on the train... and we
know Hiro got his black suit for his bike. :-)

Now, we just need to give Mirrorgirl a skateboard or something.

John H...
Yep, and being able to manipulate time means your pizza will always be there

Victor Velazquez...
"Hello, Dominoes? I need a pizza delivered to myself in college...20 years
ago."

I was so hungry that night!

John H...
Dominoes: You do understand if we send the pizza back 20 years, a paradox
will occur and we might destroy the universe, right?

Anim8rFSK...
Only if it has anchovies, but you always run that risk.

Anim8rFSK...
And plenty of live people helping him for those special moments when
robots just won't do . . . everybody from Batman to JFK to Matrix
Supergirl.

Victor: Umm, yeah... does that cost extra or something?

in 30 minutes.

markr1000...
Which is reeaally important when the Mafia controls pizza delivery.

john

MarkRRose...
You think it will fire, i think it won't...so now let's have a couple of
dozen posts giving one another attitude as we both strive to get the
last word on this completely pointless argument.

John H...
Sorry, my dance card's filled.

Denny Colt...
Finally someone is making sense!

deneph...
That's because if you save the cheerleader, you save the world.

I have to admit I loved seeing her drive that ass into the wall.
Poetic justice.

wdstarr...
Mostly because she did it in _his_ car. :-)

Araxen...
I just watch the show for Claire...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
next
