CSI ending (9/28)

Was I the only one confused by the ending of the main case in last
night's episode? What was the significance of what Grissom was
holding? I was definitely surprised when it faded to black.

It seemed to be more of a setup for next week. I can't remember
if last week the specifically said "to be continued", but the
ending this week just seemed like it would be continued.

No, there wasn't a "to be continued" like there was last week. When
the story was still going with only a couple minutes left, I started
watching specifically for that to see if it was gonna be continued ;)

Again, I can't remember what happened to the main case. The
Catherine story seemed to take over. And the way that was done,
sort of slow motion, music instead of actual sound, and no dialogue,
just gave it an oddness.

Go to wcbstv.com web page and click on link "Innertube" and you can
watch any of cbs programs over again, in case one gets drowsy watching
it the night before. Its wonderful. I do not know if any of the other
networks do this.

They are, I think, or at least 2 minute synopses of some of the new/more
popular shows.

I don't know if you got my point...CBS is showing the shows in its
entirety...all 1 hour of them.

night's episode.

I wasn't aware it was a 3-part episode. I'm not used to that from
CSI. :-)

Sure, but then will they end with another weird ending, instead of
the endings of seasons past that ends things usually neat and tidy?

I don't know whether they are just trying to do something out fo
the ordinary for the first few shows, or they intend to keep changes
in place. The tone of the show has subtly shifted.

Vaguely reminiscent of the Magnum PI last-year, they weren't sure they
would do the year, and the shows were all odds and ends. As I recall,
a couple of them worked, but it was mostly pretty tired. This new CSI
style doesn't seem tired, just different, and - intentionally ugly.
