That's my theory. They made an agreement to have a feud so they could
get on the news, and in a week or so they'll have a public makeup which
will appear on "The View" and get big ratings.

I wondered about that. Or is Trump really that much of a petty,
mean-spirited putz? If it's a ratings ploy, it sure seems like an

It's not really an either/or thing, is it? I vote "both".

"There's no such thing as bad press." They *do* have an agreement, but
it's tacit, and was never spoken out loud. They all know that, the
longer this stays in the "news," the more viewers both their tv shows
will have. Can you imagine how miserably "The Apprentice" would have
done, if the feud hadn't broken out.

them.

That's the only thing I can come up with, because otherwise the only
explanation is that they're both totally insane and annoying. Hey wait

It's not a hoax from Rosie O'Donnell's standpoint.
I have no doubt that Donald Trump is trying to build the feud for
publicity purposes, though. Trump has reportedly signed for appearances
with World Wrestling Entertainment, an arrangement prompted by NBC
Universal's wish to build ratings for "The Apprentice." (NBCU owns USA
Network which airs the "WWE Raw" show.) WWE did a parody match between
imitators of Trump and O'Donnell on "Raw" last Monday night to launch
the new storyline.
