Agent Smith...
As soon as they stop the nuclear blast, it's all over. They might try to

David Johnston...
Just like 24. Once Jack Bauer saved the United States, it stayed
saved and there were no more problems.

write more dramatic, continuing narratives, but they'll then be stuck in
the "Desperate housewives" rut - no conclusion possible, and nobody cares
about story any more.

The nuclear blast is supposed to come the day after election day. Do you
suppose they'll stick to that schedule? :(

Ar Q...
It will be like "Days of the Future Past" doing to X-men universe. No matter
how many times they went to change history for better outcomes, the problem
will continue to come back and haunt them because a final resolution is so
difficult to reach.

Pidge...
...you could just not watch it.

Ken from Chicago...
WRONG!

HEROES will have to confront ... VILLAINS:

Disneygeek...
Yeah, I'm kinda worried it'll pull a "Brisco County Jr." where the big
arc couldn't be followed up!

muzicmakr...
Or pull a Lost, where they drag it all out indefinitely.

mcgahee...
Yes, there was a small bit from Hiro about "a do-over", so I bet
that the nuke actually goes off during Nov sweeps, and
Hiro scrunches his face and goes back, and they do-over these five weeks.

Bill Steele...
Was that from future Hiro? He is obviously from a lot further forward,
judging by his English. Since he's carrying a samurai sword, he
apparently comes from a time of violence and disorder, perhaps the
aftermath of nuclear war. So he's already setting up the do-over.

wdstarr...
No, he carries a sword because (1) it's cool, (2) Present Hiro has
already been told that Future Hiro carries a sword, so he's just
completing a closed temporal information loop, and (3) it's cool.

TedJMill...
And because Hiro's a fan of the Dragonball Z anime series, in
which the character Trunks first appears as a sword-wearing
time traveler from the future who's come back to prevent bad
events from happening.

Ken from Chicago...
Don't forget the cool factor.

Plus it would otherwise create a paradox.

mcgahee...
Perhaps he carries a sword because he cannot fire a gun in
stop-time, but he can chop people up. (and because it's cool)

bklyntv...
How do you figure that Heroes is any different from any other
continuing storyline? They all have set up, climax, resolution, and
then have to start back over at set up.

William George Ferguson...
Heroes isn't happening in real time. The blast is scheduled for November
in the Heroes-verse, but that might not occur till May in our universe.
(note that things which happened three episodes ago, occurred just a day or
so ago on the show).
