What is considered the first SF TV series that lasted at least a season?
Was it Twilight Zone or One Door Beyond (?)?
Was there even a nonanthology SF series that lasted a season pre1960?
Well if there were nonanthology SF series pre1960 they obviously ended
up in the dustbin of TV history and probably for a reason.

the free encyclopedia.
Captain Video was 1949 - 1955
free encyclopedia.
Tom Corbett was 1950 to 1955 (Before Star Trek, Tom Corbett — Space
Cadet was the most scientifically accurate series on television).
Both predate twilight zone and one step beyond.
There may be others, those are just two I can pull off the top of my head.
