All:
Well, it's all over except the crying and shouting. This show sure
brought up alot of memories of the slipshod 70's. Nothing mattered
except having fun.
BTW, what a burn (as they said on the show) for the
producers not using the original Laurie and the young man who replaced

Rhino...
Actually, I was presently surprised by Randy. It has to be an extremely
thankless task to create a new role in a very popular series, particularly
when that role is seen as a replacement (of sorts) for one of the very
popular departing core characters. It must be even more thankless when
you're pretty sure it is the last season of the show and know there's not
much hope of a long run in the role.

But the actor who played Randy created a pleasant and likeable character
that was different enough from Eric Forman's that he didn't seem like a
clone. He actually seemed like worthy boyfriend material for Donna.

Topher Grace during the finale. Laurie especially should've been asked
back for one last show.

What are you talking about "replaced Topher Grace during the finale"?

David Levy...
Try this:

BTW, what a burn (as they said on the show) for the producers
excluding from the finale the original Laurie and the young man who
replaced Topher Grace.

That was Topher...unless you're referring to Fez's friend from wherever
he's from? I must say I got a tad misty when Eric (Topher) showed up
at the end of the show.

Rhino...
I think the original poster was referring to the Randy character who was new
this season.

But given that the Laurie character isn't a constant on the show, if
they had the character on the show it does make more sense to use
the actor who is most connected with the role.

It would be different the character had been in every episode, and
thus they'd been using the new actor. To dismiss her to bring back
the old actor in that case would not be a fair thing.
