3.0. This one didn't do much for me, but it had some good atmosphere. *

I give this one five stars, but I don't recall seeing Sawyer anywhere.
Lastly, I have to admit that the Doctor kicking Scott(?) out for
being bad was an unexpected twist. I had assumed he would forgive
him and help get that computer interface removed. Well done.

Two stars.
An alien takes over the entire human race because it needs a really big
fridge.

That's what bothered me about this episode. Not that I thought
it took over the Empire because it needed a refrigerator, but
that with all Space to radiate heat into, we see an improbable
method of sending it throughout the station. A writer doesn't
know how the world works at such a basic level, and we're to
think he has insightful comments on the complex societal
interaction with news?

I too have wondered why the heat wasn't radiated into space.
Neil Sullivan...
|
As someone else has already pointed out, space may be cold but it is also a
very good insulator. Heat can be radiated, but the other two methods of heat
transfer, conduction and convection, are reduced to absolutely nothing in a
vacuum. They may not be able to radiate the heat quickly enough.
David Johnston...
|
And it was a big station. Surely the heat from one level wouldn't
make much of an impact on 499 other levels.

I wish I could do an Eccleston north accent -- He's just
repeating something he heard somewhere.

It is my humble opinion that this is the first story I've seen since
Rose that I really didn't like except for the ending. My memory must be
really horrible because I honestly don't remember seeing this episode
before. My wife agreed that this was just boring as hell. My rating: 2
