That would be THE GALE STORM SHOW aka OH SUSANNA with Gale Storm as
Lucy, Zasu Pitts as Vivian, and Roy Roberts as Gale Gordon. :-)
I recall it differing from LUCY in that I actually thought it was funny.

That's all I can recall. Were those all different series? CBS?

Yes, they were all different series. LIFE WITH LUCY was an ABC series,
but all the others were on CBS.

I missed one. The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour episodes are airing as
"We Love Lucy" 30 minute episodes. I happened to see one
today on MYFOXLA.
Here's a TVGUIDE link describing the series:
Milton Berle was the guest star in the episode broadcast today.

Vivian Vance (Ethel) was a regular, playing a character named Viv, for the
first three years of "The Lucy Show" (which was never called "The Lucille
Ball Show" - that was a working title and was never used on air). After the
left the show, she would return for yearly guest appearances, and did the
same on "Here's Lucy".

sorry WQ, but you are wrong and the book is wrong. According to "The Lucy
Book", which documents every Lucy TV appearance and show and has
contributors from the people who worked with Lucy. "The Lucy Show" was
always aired as "The Lucy Show". Only the earliest scripts had the title
"The Lucille Ball Show", but it never aired as such.

"The Complete Directory..." is wrong, and has been wrong on other Lucy

fictional town is actually in New York, and stating that Lucy moved to San

Feel free.........but since the author of The Lucy Book took the time to
interview all the people who were still alive at the time of his writing it,
why shouldn't it be accepted, esp from those who worked on The Lucy Show?

Francisco in the fourth season, when in fact, she moved to L.A.). "The Lucy
Book", a much more detailed and accurate account of all things Lucy, states:
"While the first several draft scripts do carry the title 'The Lucille Ball
Show', contrary to what has been reported elsewhere this name is *never*
used on the air, and the series is *always* called 'The Lucy Show'" (italics
theirs).

all those books are wrong and simply copy the incorrect info from one
version to the next.
I happen to have the episodes of The Lucy Show where Lucy in character
states "Danfield, N.Y" and also refers to "Ridgebury" and "New Rochelle",
also in N.Y.
