Ben Stiller is coming back to network television, alongside his wife.

Actor Ben Stiller will soon be directing, producing and acting in a
pilot for a CBS comedy that will star his wife, actress Christine
Taylor. Stiller will play her husband. The comedy is based on
Taylor's life.

"She is a small-town girl who has found her way into Hollywood but
still retains a lot of the values and humility (of her upbringing),"
said CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler. "There are times when
she is befuddled by her status -- being an actress married to a big
movie star."

The sitcom will reveal how Taylor's character juggles career and
family as many of her hometown relatives continue to be involved in her
life.

Unlike other sitcoms that use a three-camera approach, this comedy is
considering using single-camera treatment.

This deal is the most important series commitment for Stiller since his
1992 comedy/variety show on Fox. CBS is rushing this project for
potential summer production as part of its push to get new projects
outside the conventional development cycle.

Yeah, she's really stretching herself as an actress with this part, so
many of today's talant lacks any real life experience the kinds of
things they create are so limited.

As long as they bring back the HEY DUDE cast, I'm there!

David Levy...
Drat! When I saw that there was only one reply, I was fairly
confident that the opportunity to make the thread's first "Hey Dude"
reference remained available. It's a little wild and a little strange
that you beat me to it.

Anim8rFSK...
Well, you had 50/50 odds. It was either gonna be HEY DUDE or "Marsha,
Marsha, MARSHA"
