ALIAS - WHY are they moving it to Monday????

- Tape the Alias finale?
I've only got one VCR. I can't tape both.
I know what most Americans will probably do: Unaware that Alias has
suddenly, inexplicably, moved from Wednesday to Monday, they'll tune
into 24 (like usual). And Alias will get lousy ratings.

There were more than enough reminders during tonight's broadcast that
the finale is Monday. Anyone who misses it really has no one to blame.

Okay. So, to recap, ABC is screwing "most" viewers, who all
appparently...
a) haven't read a thing about the scheduling of the final episodes
AND
b) tape the show, but don't watch it for six days AND
c) never watch ANY in-show commercials OR the scenes from next week
AND
d) can't read the on-screen graphics during the program AND
e) won't watch any ABC commercials between Wednesday and Monday AND
f) can't remember something they've heard from Wednesday until Monday
AND
g) don't know how to download FREE videos from abc.com, or use iTunes
even if all of a) through f) apply

They are reserving Wednesday night for the Lost season finale, which is a

Forgot about Lost (I don't watch it). Still they could have scheduled
the Alias finale this week & Lost next week, rather than move Alias off
to compete against a heavy-hitter like 24.
An alternate plan is to move Alias to Friday. As it stands now, Alias'
fans will tune in on Wednesday & say "Where's alias?" -- oops too late.
Missed it. Scheduling it Friday would give fans time to reset their
VCRs/schedules from wednesday to friday.

Alias isn't really popular enough to *need* to be fitted into sweeps,
though. Why not just put Lost on next Wednesday and Alias the Wednesday
after? I guess I'll be watching Alias live and recording 24...

Anybody who's watched Alias the last couple years has learned not to
make any assumptions about when it will or won't be on. The people who
don't know the finale is on Monday probably didn't know that the show
has been back on Wednesdays the last few weeks.
