What follows are the fast national results for Wednesday, Jan. 17,
2007. Overall averages appear first (ranked by the highest rated
network), followed by a half-hour breakdown in the order of ABC, CBS,
NBC, Fox and the CW. Household rating and share is listed first,
followed by total number of viewers (in millions) and adult 18-49
rating and share.

As expected, American Idol steamrolled the competition, with 36.87
million viewers and a 15.4 rating/36 share among adults 18-49.
Comparably, that beat the four other networks combined! Most negatively
implacted by Idol: ABC's The Knights of Prosperity and In Case of

Obveeus...

Average of 5 1/4 million for ABC. Knights is back on top of Emergency by a
half million.

Emergency and the CW's One Tree Hill.

Almost 2 million people added in the second half hour? Does Criminal Minds
not require some level of 'follow the plot' from the viewers?

coming from? It isn't people tuning away from American idol, so what is it?

Seems like all of the 10pm shows had increased viewership this week. I
guess being the 'leadout' to American Idol has its advantages.
