I miss the short 10-second openers

Seasons 2 and 9 of SGA and SG1 premiered this past weekend on local tv.
I miss the short 10-second openers Sci-Fi Channel had used on these
episodes. I typically fast-forward through the long title sequence, so
I liked the shorter versions: Straight-and-to-the-point.

You're one of the few. Most people prefer opening credits sequences
on all series, partly because, well, they *like* to hear the
repetition of the catchy theme song of any series.
Note, too, I'd love to see How I Met Your Mother's 15-second
theme-blip extended into a full opening-credits song. Love the photo
montage, would love to see more of the montage and hear more of the
music.

Instead the local stations substituted the full 1:30 long sequence
(which unfortunately contained spoilers of future events... like the
Ori). I guess we'll never see the 10-second long versions again.

No. Sony/MGM re-inserted the opening credits before the local
stations got it because they realized they were dumb to have cut 'em
in the first place. Local stations have NOTHING to do with whether or
not opening credits are cut.

I wonder if any scenes were cut from the show to make room for the
longer opening?
