Jamie...
During what season did Jesse start using the last name Katsopolis,
after originally being called Jesse Cochran. A lot of sources say the
character decided to change his last name after his Greek grandparents
visited. That doesn't follow--I seem to remember that the name change
was during Season Two; the grandparents didn't visit until the start of
Season Three (1990-1991). One episode had him and Joey auctioned off
at a bachelor auction at Danny's TV station, and he was called
Katsopolis then. I believe this was a second-season episode

Jude Cormier...
It is season 2 that the name change occurs.

Jamie...
That's what I always seemed to remember. So where did various sources
get the info that the visit from the Greek grandparents made him change
his surname? As I said, that episode wasn't until Season Three, and

Nichole...
I had heard it that John Stamos wanted it changed because of HIS
Greek background, and the change was never mentioned on the show, it
was supposed to be as if that's what it always was.

Jude Cormier...
Since Jesse was always a rocker, I've heard he was first called Jesse
Cochran after Eddie Cochran--in other words, it was a stage name.

Taylor...
The previous poster (PP) is correct.

Jude Cormier...
I'm not doubting that. I am just stating the reasoning behind why he was
called Cochran in the first season to begin with.

And Taylor, stop changing the subject title. thank you.

since he was already using the Katsopolis surname a season earlier,
this whole "decided to change his name after his Greek grandparents
visited" bit makes no sense.
