I enjoyed the show very much, mostly because I was a kid at the time,
but also because it looked and felt different than most of the other
cartoons of the day. A fantasy-themed show that didn't have pastel
ponies, logo-emblazoned teddy bears, or rainbow-spewing little girls? I
was thrilled.

Maybe I was (and still am) a bibliophile at that time, but I never
noticed that difference.
