I'll give it a 3.9. Loses a bit for not actually having the consequences
of hitting zero play out (though it looked like a hieroglyphic rocket
launch).

Not letting the countdown clock go all the way was an
annoying TV cliché I coulda done without and _again _
Jack show us what an asshole he is but otherwise, a real
good episode.

5 stars!!! Wow!!!
I want more Lost right now!!1!
Sawyer is now irredeemable.
The people that got all flustered when some of us said "Hurley" would
steal some food for himself can FOAD.
Nice CGI!

If you like fake-looking stuff, I guess so.

3.0. Well, it appears you go on pharoah standard time if the button isn't
pushed. *

4.9
An excellent episode. Some nice backstory on Sayid, and a bit closer
to understanding more of the island.
-0.1 for no one recognzing "Henry Gale" as the name of Dorothy's
father. Adding in the 'balloon trip' just made it even MORE obvious.

Dorothy was an orphan.
Lizard...
|
More technically, then, Dorothy's UNCLE. Same difference.
Point is, either it's a really odd coincidence, or a Big Honkin' Clue.
I vote the latter.

I thought it was just a clever in joke for the audience.

Or just a wink at viewers.

LOL, I pushed SEND and then read your reply to the previous poster next and
thought 'busted!'
I didn't even notice how long it was. I had just pushed 'page down'

First off, thanks to George for another good selection of matches to the
scoring system. Some are obvious. The ones that aren't are worth
researching to learn something. Now on to the episode.
3.7
[a score I consider slightly above average for Season 2 episodes]
PROS:
Danielle (and her home made cross bow), Sayid (both his story and the
acting), more tension between Jack and Locke and the drama of the timer
countdown (not that I expected something to actually happen). I thought
the ending was great. That is two in a row that involve, surprisingly
enough, Charlie.
CONS:
not enough Danielle (do you see a theme emerging here?), the CGI
(understandable given the cost of making it more realistic but still
obvious), and if Gale is in fact a balloonist, then there are lots of
people getting to this isolated island. I hate the Gilligan's Island
comparisons but this might be one that applies. Seems like I remember
reading a producer's quote about the island trapping so many people and
no one ever getting off
The bottom line is that no real answers, lots more questions but if the
issue is "was watching Lost an hour well spent?" I have to say yes.
QUESTION:
Which soldier was Kate's dad? The one trying to get Sayid to find out
where the pilot was from Sayid's commanding officer?

4.3 stars... I am mad at Sawyer now for being a meanie, and I am a bit

Argh! My tape cut off the end.
The last I heard was:
"...these people, these Others, can take any one of us
whenever they want."
What else was said?

You're mad
at Sawyer
NOW?!?!!?!?!
and I am a bit

disappointed that Clancy Brown was just in a flashback, and will not be a
character on the island so we can see more of him.

4.815162342 (Coretta Scott King).
My highest rating to date.
Great acting. Another Naveen Andrews Emmy nomination, definitely. Very
thoughtful and provocative. And gripping throughout. The kind of
episode you think about for hours afterward.
Now why couldn't they have written an episode that good for Charlie???

It was Kate. But it wasn't Clancy Brown's character who had the picture. It
was Lindsey Ginter's (aka Sgt. Austen) character
SoHillsGuy...
|
Was his character ever identified as Sgt. Austen? I just rewatched the
flashback scenes and couldn't find any scene where he was called this.

|
Answering my own question, I do see now that this was the same actor
from a Kate flashback last season. Can't believe I missed that...

For the love of God, why is there a spoiler space?
