What's the buzz on "Scrubs"?

There's been a lot of talk in the last day or so about orders and
cancellations that NBC is making in preparations for Monday's upfront,
but I haven't heard anything one way or the other on "Scrubs." Any
buzz on which way NBC is leaning on this series? Is ABC still
interested if NBC isn't?

I guess if either network picks it up it'll be for midseason. There's
no point in putting it on the Fall schedule since it'll never get
ratings.

Bill Lawrence received that guarantee from the honcho at ABC (a suit
who shepherded Scrubs when he worked at Touchstone) that ABC would
pick it up if NBC didn't. Since NBC goes early in the week, I think
that if NBC were going to cancel Scrubs, we'd have heard about ABC
picking it up by now. Big time. It would have been leaked days ago
because Scrubs is just that well-liked by the people that actually
know about it.

It makes sense SCRUBS is a Disney production. NBC barely promotes the show
and ABC could use a GOOD sitcom.

ABC's taking everything else. They might as well take it as well, although I
don't think they will. I'd guess NBC will keep it for midseason. That seems
to be the way they roll.

No official word but most of the tea leaves point to NBC likely keeping
it, could be another midseason deal. ABC would still be interested if
NBC drops the series but that's probably a moot point.
