Can you imagine it!! Its snowing, again, what were the chances of a
snowstorm in the Rocky Mountains twice in the Winter?!?!
Tony Calguire...

"God didn't make the little green apples, and it don't snow in Minneapolis
when the winter comes."
(Seriously, it don't! We've gotten less than a half-inch all winter long.)

I dunno, so far this does feel like the winter of global warming.

Well sure for us in the East...

This is the fourth warmest December on record in Baltimore.
Global warming doesn't mean that every place will be warmer every day,
week, or month. There is still the same variability in weather - it's
just that, overall, the temperature of the earth is increasing. That
apparently isn't in doubt - the disagreeement is whether human activities
play a role in the warming. The earth has gone through warm and cool
cycles before, and weather records only go back a hundred years or so.

But ice cores have revealed the weather for the last 800,000 years. They
indicate this cycle is happening much faster than in any other period
going back almost a million years. We'd have to be fools to think that
the amount of CO2 that we're pouring into the atmosphere is not having
an effect.

And before this event, there was an earlier event that was faster than
any other period. Records get set, only to fall.

Yes, it's SOOOOOOOOOOOO awful in the Northeast. No snow, no freezing
temps, no road salt, no slush, no overuse of heating fuel, no staticky
dry air, no chapped lips.
It's just SOOOOOOOOOOOOO awful!!!

Two major ones in a week is a little unusual. And there's supposed to be
a third one over this weekend. That's not normal.

|
Now, now, I'm sure somewhere in the Earth's 6000 year history there
were a few winters where big storms occurred so close together.

Yabbut there probably weren't that many people trying to fly in and out
of Denver then.

You can thank El Nino. Just as everyone in Seattle and Vancouver are...

Yeah, they're getting pounded with rain. San Francisco too.
