"Everybody Hates Chris" may NOT jump to the newly merged UPN/WB?

The biggest announcement about the merger up to this point has to do
with the status of "Everybody Hates Chris." This show appears to be
the most desireable show of either UPN or the WB, but knowing that this
show has become a hot property, who's to say that this will end up on
the new network? There's been some rumblings that CBS may pick up this
show for itself and put it on its Monday night block of comedies.

Jack Bauer's Spunky Sidekick, Ian J. Ball...
This show cannot pull a CBS-sized audience, IMO. I'm sure CBS knows
this.

Their schedule could look like this in the fall:

MONDAY
8:00 Everybody Hates Chris
8:30 King of Queens

Jack Bauer's Spunky Sidekick, Ian J. Ball...
KoQ is almost certain to end in May. It won't be back next Fall.

9:00 Two and a Half Men
9:30 How I Met Your Mother
10:00 CSI:Miami

Then again, with "Will & Grace" going off into the sunset, and the
amazing flop that was "Joey," NBC would be wise to make a bold move and
pick up "Chris" for a new Must See TV Thursday night. Bring "Scrubs"

Jack Bauer's Spunky Sidekick, Ian J. Ball...
I could see that as a more likely possibility. Depending on how all the
shows' contracts are structured, some of them might be able to 'shop'
themselves to other networks before the merge.

If they could, EHC and "Smallville" are two shows I could see 'shopping'
themselves to other nets. Possibly "Gilmore Girls" as well...

back to Thursdays and they will have a solid night of decent comedies.

THURSDAY
8:00 Everybody Hates Chris
8:30 Scrubs
9:00 My Name Is Earl
9:30 The Office
10:00 ER
