An interesting "isn't that cool" gizmo you have there Steve Jobs but
all I want out of a phone is
to make and receive calls. I guess I'm just an old fashioned fuddy
duddy. :)

Palm has been making smartphones like this for years. What Apple has
done has been to get rid of all of the buttons. I just might have to
junk my Treo... but not right away.

My cell can also play music, videos, surf the internet and has a built in
camera. I keep wondering what's all the fuss about. I hope it's more than
the lack of buttons.

The lack of buttons means an uncluttered front with a larger screen for
displaying content. It sounds like the aim is to reproduce the
post-millennium desktop experience on a smaller scale, without the
interface compromises that make today's PDAs and smartphones
throw-backs to the last century.

I don't have a cell phone, either. Good for me.

You could all be delusions in my mind, and I'm typing into some lego
creation... It would explain so much.

Me, too. But lately, I've been wishing my cell phone can take pictures.

You are. PalmOS and Windows Mobile based phones have been able to play
music and video and run applications like PocketOffice and Documents
to Go for years.
