NY Yankees / The Office crossover idea

Now that the Scranton minor league team (formerly the Scranton/Wilkes Barre
Red Barons) is affiliated with the Yankees, The Office should utilize that
in the same way Seinfeld involved itself with the team.

The premise is that the office goes to a Scranton/Wilkes Barre Yankees game,
which can be funny on its own. It can include a cameo by Derek Jeter or
another major leaguer who is in Scranton on rehab assignment.

NBC should go further and pay for the naming rights to the stadium and call
it Dunder-Mifflin Field.

The show has already utilized the team by naming the character Ryan Howard
after the current NL MVP on the Phillies, who played his AAA ball in
Scranton. What do you think?

I think it's just a coincidence that the character shares a name with
the baseball player. The character's name in the original British
version of the show was Ricky Howard, so they just changed his first
name for the American version.
