House 11/7: was it makeup or was it real?

House on 11/7 (Que Sera Sera)

Was the obese guy on House really *that* fat, or was it a terrific
makeup job?

Make up...you could tell on some of the shots of his arms and hands
where it looked like he was wearing thick rubber gloves. But well done
nonetheless. The face/chin was very well done.

Ah. I thought I recognized him from "Touching Evil." Apparently he
really suffers from nystagmus (involuntary eye movement) and they
manage to work it into his character.
