King clocks in with '24' gig
By Nellie Andreeva
Regina King has joined Fox's drama "24" as a regular for next season.
Additionally, D.B. Woodside is taking on a much bigger role on the
20th Century Fox TV/Imagine TV show in its upcoming sixth season.
Woodside has recurred on "24" as Wayne Palmer, the strong-willed
brother and former chief of staff of the late President David Palmer,
played by Dennis Haysbert.
As a regular on the real-time drama next season, Woodside will reprise
his character, who will be elected president.

Whoa!
Guess that blows my theory that Wayne takes Jack's place at CTU, huh?

Saw this coming from a mile away. The producers are really milking the
Palmer name. And that may not be good.

Maybe they're going to make some JFK/RFK parallels? I like the sounds
of that.

King will play Angela, the sister of Wayne and David Palmer and a
powerful advocacy lawyer.

Do I hear a foreshadowing of a "Madame President" in the future sometime??

King, best known for her work in such features as "Jerry Maguire" and
"Ray," recently wrapped Mike White's "Year of the Dog." She lends her
voice to the animated series "The Boondocks" and the upcoming animated
feature "Ant Bully."
King is repped by the Gersh Agency and manager John Carrabino.
