chicagofan...
I see it is not on my TV schedule for tonight... has ABC cancelled it
already? Guess I was the only fan. :(

Donna B...
It was a limited series & we fans of it have seen all of the episodes they
made, as of last week.

Rob Jensen...
It wasn't a limited-run series as in the sense of a true miniseries.

Donna B...
It was put on the air as & referred to as a limited series just as BOOK OF
DANIEL was with only a certain number of episodes made & no info on a future
at all. No implication was being made of limited-run or miniseries, neither
of which was said.

Rob Jensen...
I've only always seen InJustice referred to as an open-ended series.

jayembee...
I'm with Rob (kind of). I never heard of IN JUSTICE referred to as
an "open-ended series", but I also never heard it referred to as a
"limited series". In the absence of the latter, there's no reason
to assume that it isn't the former.

I never expect any show that starts after January to have more than
13 episodes. Well, any *new* show, that is. I'm not counting things
like "24" that start in January and run straight through May.

BoD I only saw referred to as a limited-run series that kept having
episodes chopped from its order because NBC was upfront about being
skittish about the content.

I suspect we will continue to hear 'limited series' be used in this way more
& more.

Rob Jensen...
IMO, no, we won't. It'll be tried a couple more times, but TV Viewers
resent being lied to in this way. They'll start calling such spin for
what it is: networks trying to misrepresent both good shows that they
have no faith in (such as InJustice) and bad shows that they're
clearly burning off (like BoD). And that will just as quickly congeal
into the more general dismissive of "burn off." And as a result, even
fewer new shows will ever get significant ratings until they get past
their 13th-15th episodes and thereby escape the stigma of "burn off."

It's just that it got an initial order of 13 episodes, which have all
aired to undeservedly so-so ratings and now they're just waiting to
see if they'll get renewed. MacLachlan is doing to guest-star on the
last few episodes of Desperate Houseweirdos this season and Jason
O'Mara has already signed to do another pilot, but both of these
projects (and a couple of others involving other costars) are in
second position to InJustice, whose fate is totally up in the air.

Robin Miller...
Darn. This is/was definitely one of my favorite new shows of the season.
