Anybody else watch shows at 1.2x or 1.5x speed?

I have a program on my computer called WinDVD that has variable
playback. The first time I watch a show, I watch it normal speed, but
when I'm watching an old show (like star trek or cosby) where I already
know what's going to happen next, I watch it at 1.2, 1.5, or even 2.0
speed.

Currently, I'm watching 24 Day 2 for a second time at 1.5x speed (and
then I'll sell it on Ebay to recover the money).

Anybody else watch their TV or movie dvds at a faster-than-normal rate?

I donate blood platlets every few months, where you're hooked to a
machine for up to two hours. You can watch a movie on the computer while
you're doing it. I'll often watch at 1.2 speed or so when the tech tells
me I'll take 100 mintues but it's a two-hour movie.

The new DVD player I just bought allows that. I haven't done much more
than play with the feature though. You know how it is, that exciting
period where you're getting to know all about the new device, before
you settle into the hum-drum life.

Trivia: PAL-tv users watch movies at 1.05 speed (25/24).
