Back in the 1960s Walt Disney himself would open up the TV Disney show
(Sunday's NBC?). There was also the Mickey Mouse Club of the 1950s.
As a kid, he seemed like a nice friendly man working hard to give us
kids high quality entertainment. We didn't know what went on behind
the scenes.
Would anyone know of the reputation of Disney's (himself) and the
studio he ran in the 1950s and 1960s? Was it considered well-run? Was
he fair to the talent and staff? Were his movies considered by the

How did the 1950s talent feel about working on the projects after they
grew up? I believe that star Haley Mills (who all the guys loved) went
out of her way to break her wholesome image as soon as she could.
I wish today's Disney Channel would run their old movies and TV shows
overnight. Some of that stuff was pretty good, for example they had
Western and adventure shorts. Maybe Westerns aren't politically
correct for kids to view these days; but I suspect tween boys would
prefer those over the Sprouse twins trying to be chefs.

Vault Disney. They used to. When they took it off and people
complained, the woman in charge of programming made some snotty remarks
about how the stuff they produce now is more Walt than anything Walt
himself ever did. Sigh.
