(How is it that cable news ratings are so settled that they always arrange
themselves by network? Are people really THAT lockstep? Second thought: No
surprise, but I guess O'Reilly doesn't share any viewers with The Colbert
Report, because if he did O'Reilly's ratings would have dropped
precipitously. Colbert's show makes O'Reilly's look so ridiculous as to be
unwatchable.)

Maybe a few viewers watch both O'Reilly and Colbert. They are not on
at the same time. A number of people find Colbert's show to be
unwatchable. Comedy Central repeats weekday shows so
there is never a conflict with some other program.
