What shows look best in HD?

There must be different ways of taping/filming that translate to a
better picture. I've notice Law & Order is really great in HD, very
sharp and very clear.

But Without a Trace for example looks kind of grainy and dark.

Does anyone else notice a difference and which shows look better or
worse?

There are no sharp and clear TV shows today. Get a DVD of
something produced in the 1970s and play it on a decent TV.
Prepare to be astounded. Today, they f------ soft-filter EVERYTHING.

Football rocks in HD!!!

Though, I would agree...IIRC, I thought it better on CBS than on FOX or
ABC. But, I've found that descrepancy with the regular signal too.
