We don't even get it on an HD channel? I live in Chicago and I've
never even heard of this station. :(

Nobody's getting it on an HD channel.

In Boston, it will be on the ABC affiliate, WCVB (albeit buried at 2:00 am
on Monday). They have HD capability, but is Paramount distributing it in HD?

Not yet, though they plan to later. Right now, most of the affiliate
stations that are signing up to show the episodes can't deal with filmed
material in HD, so it wouldn't be cost-effective to release HD versions
at this time.

Somebody posted a quote saying that it would not be distributed in HD,
correct. Of course the facts about this version still seem to be very
much in flux.

Channel 23 is one of those tiny stations between channel 26 to channel 11.
It used to be a polish-language station back in the day. Now it shows really
old, at least 30-years old.
I only heard of it because of Feder's column in the Times. On cable its on
channel 223.

Yep, they run lots of great older series -- you know, the stuff TV Land
used to run back when they were good.
This is kinda the height of irony that this sparkling new HD project is
going to be going out on this particular channel though. I dunno about
you fellow Chicagoans who get this station, but my reception on this
channel is always very grainy, even on cable (which is the only way I
would ever see it at all). I was recording "Mission: Impossible" for a
few weeks when they added it to the schedule, but gave it up because of
the quality of the reception and decided to wait until the DVD release.
Maybe it's a problem with my carrier, but I don't have the same problem
on most channels.
