From Kate: Is anyone watching The Class and liking it? Am I the only
one?
Unfortunately, you might be in the minority, Kate. Sources tell me
that Lucy Punch, who plays annoying TV reporter Holly Ellenbogen, is
leaving the show! That's the rumor going round Hollywood, anyway.
Apparently she wasn't too happy with the gig, so she's saying goodbye.

Barry Margolin...
She's definitely the weakest character of the bunch

John Anthony...
I disagree. She's usually the character that gets the most laughs.

All of her "on-air" reports have been funny, especially the one with Ritchie
after he crashed his car. And the funniest part of the 1-8-07 episode was
her bit at the end where she couldn't understand "I'm going to get you".

The weakest character in my opinion would have to be Kyle Lendo - very
poorly written and has yet to have a funny moment.

It does appear though that this story is true - CBS has removed any mention
of Lucy Punch and her character from the website (although her on-air
husband is still mentioned).

Jeffy3...
I just checked CBS website and her photo and bio are there in plain
sight!

John Anthony...
I just went to see and it's definitely now back. But the other day when the
story came out, it wasn't there. And it was a different group picture too,
which she wasn't in.

I hope this story isn't true or maybe the actress changed her mind. She's
become my favorite on the show. And her "husband" and Oprah are
entertaining too.

et472...
I've barely watched the show, so I couldn't tell which character
she is.

But, the "star" in the subject header seemed to suggest someone we'd
all recognize, Jason Ritter was certainly the one name I could think of.

Of course, we'be seen this before when people post stories they've found
elsewhere and make the subject header sound more serious than the actual
message body, because the poster has stretched the meaning of "star'.
