Personally, "Magic Carpet Ride" and "Sweet Home Alabama" (the latter of
which I've seen in, oddly, KFC commercials) come to mind.

Anyone got any others?

Reality Check...
"This Little Light of Mine" has been used in a few ads recently.

Mark Moore

Taylor...
'Walking On Sunshine', anyone???

aroberts...
"I Feel Good" by James Brown. Not lately so much, but it periodically shows
up for various products.

"It's Your Thing", The Isley Brothers.

Dan...
The most overused song in commercials, television, and movies is the
Israel Kamakawiwo’ole version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow."

Tony Calguire...
You know, when I first heard this song in a commercial, I really loved
it... it was the e-toys commercial, I believe, and they only used the "ooh-

was; I called it "The Ooh Ooh Song".

Then, I heard it on ER, and discovered that it was actually a really lousy
cover of "Over The Rainbow". It completely ruined the song for me.

Geez, it has been used in a ton of shows and ads.

for most it will be instantly recognizable sound wise:
