Personally, "Magic Carpet Ride" and "Sweet Home Alabama" (the latter of
which I've seen in, oddly, KFC commercials) come to mind.

The most overused song in commercials, television, and movies is the
Israel Kamakawiwo’ole version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow."

You know, when I first heard this song in a commercial, I really loved
it... it was the e-toys commercial, I believe, and they only used the "ooh-
ooh" parts; none of the "Over The Rainbow" parts. I had no idea what it
was; I called it "The Ooh Ooh Song".
Then, I heard it on ER, and discovered that it was actually a really lousy
cover of "Over The Rainbow". It completely ruined the song for me.

Yeah, they usually don't actually play the part that is recognizable as
"Somewhere Over The Rainbow" but instead play just the introduction.
Geez, it has been used in a ton of shows and ads.
