"Desperate Housewives" did quite well for ABC last night. It posted
significant improvements over last years airing of "Primetime Live".
(households: 6.4/11, adults 18-49: 3.7 in 2006; households: 4.4/7,
adults 18-49: 2.1 in 2005) It also posted a small improvement over
last weeks airing of "Six Degrees" (households: 5.4/ 9, adults 18-49:
3.2).
Should ABC continue to air same-week encores of "Desperate Housewives"
on Thurdsays at 10/9c (when a new episode premiered on that Sunday)?
[P.S. I highly doubt that "Men in Trees" could do better than
same-week encores of "Desperate Housewives" on Thurdsays at 10/9c.]

Personally I enjoy Men in Trees more than Grey's Anatomy or Desperate
Housewives this season. The quality of Men in Trees is comparable to that of
Desperate Housewives' first season. Nursing in this time slot, Men in Trees
should retain 75% of Grey's viewers in the end of this season. And I think
MiT reruns should do well. Unlike many TV programs you stop once you see it
once or even by reading the spoiler, MiT has the charm that it creates the
moments of life that people enjoy to see even we already know the direction
it is heading. It never dulls me even on the second or third viewing.

Personally I wouldn't mind if all the network channels repeated their
shows a few times during the week similar to how TLC, Animal Planet and
Discovery do. But does it really matter what we think? TV isn't
really a democracy ;)
