The Game doesn't target football fans, and in any case it shares
the same producer with Girlfriends. (They had a backdoor pilot on
Girlfriends the season just past, and aside from it not being a
Girlfriends episode, it was probably passable.)

The Game is a spinoff of Girlfriends, isn't it? So that kind of makes
them a natural pairing (weren't some of the "Mary Tyler Moore" or "All
In the Family" spinoffs paired with their progenitors?).

I'll be disappointed if they don't at least pick up "She Said, He Said"
for mid-season.
But, as The CW really looks to be going "all urban" with its sitcoms,
that's probably a pipedream...

I'm glad that VM is back, but not seeing Everwood airing after 7th
Heaven is very upsetting, especially since they kept One Tree Hill.
I'm going to really miss that show. I wonder how Smallville and
Supernatural will do on Thursdays. Last year was tough, but with
Grey's Anatomy and Studio 60 entering the picture, it's going to get
even tougher.

I think everyone here called this lineup, pretty much exactly.
The only real question was whether it would be ANTM & 2 sticoms on
Wednesday (with 2 more sitcoms and a drama on Sundays) or ANTM & a drama
on Wednesday (with all sitcoms on Sunday).
With the addle-brained move to pick up OTH, it was clear that the latter
scenario would be the way they'd go.

ANTM is one of the strongest shows they have. With this lineup it looks
like they are preping the spot after ANTM for midseason replacements and
other new series launches.

Makes sense. I wonder why they kept talking about carrying on the successful
Monday UPN comedy thing.
