FOX's "Vanished" benched for sweeps

Fox just announced that the last four episodes will be seen on
MySpace.com and local MyFoxLocal Web sites. So, that's that.

Or is Vanished going to end UN-resolved? :-(

I think you're confusing Vanished with Kidnapped. *Kidnapped* is the
one that will be wrapped in 13 episodes (says nbc.com).

Do you have any source saying Vanished will be wrapped?
I am sadly expecting the story to end w/o resolution.

It apparently will be resolved within 13 episodes. And to answer another
post, yes, the rest of the shows will be seen online only.

FOX'S 'VANISHED' TO DISAPPEAR FOR THE REST OF SWEEPS

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX is benching "Vanished" for the
remainder of the November sweeps period.

The news comes on the heels of Friday's decision to pull fellow
freshman drama "Justice" (read the story) from the schedule.

Both series however are set to return next month - "Vanished" on
Friday, December 1 at 8:00/7:00c and "Justice" on Monday, December 11
at 9:00/8:00c.

In place of "Vanished" on November 17, FOX will run an extra episode
of "Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy" while the previously
announced movie "Bruce Almighty" will fill the slot on November 24.

So, in essence, they are only pre-empting it for two weeks, one of
which had already been a scheduled pre-emption. And this took a
special announcement? Jeez mon.

I've watched some, enough to basically keep up. What's the show's
status, did they officially get instructions to wrap it in 13? How many

Not that's been announced in a press release. I never expected it
to go past 13 anyway.

They haven't said that it'll be wrapped up in 13 but the 13th episode
sounds like it could serve as a finale.

I'd be somewhat unhappy if they didn't resolve things fairly well.

"Vanished's" most-recent broadcast delivered a series-low (and last
place) 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 according to preliminary Nielsen
data.
