House sucked last night

There was so much illogic going on that I'm thinking (hoping?) that
he's
still in a coma. Or maybe it's someone else's coma.

For instance, why not let House try the cortisol? Like he said, it
would
be relatively harmless if he were wrong, and it's not like he hasn't
tried a
treatment in the past, as a way to diagnose conditions. Cuddy's
"distinction"
made absolutely no sense, in light of past events. And, as for
Wilson's statement:
House is NOT just getting lucky! (One could only *imagine* the
brain-power/experience it would take to come up with the Addison's
hypothesis, in
light of the confusing symptoms. This is just the kind of thing that
Cuddy is paying him for, isn't it?)

About the only reason I can come up with for the sequence of events is
that the writers heavy-handedly needed for House to be frustrated and
fall
back into pill-taking.

Keeping secrets from House, undermining his enthusiasm, going into
some kind of an addiction arc, I mean like seriously, and just tossing
off the medical cases instead of centering on them.

... but I think I'm crushing on Jennifer Morrisson / Dr. Cameron, so
why don't they bend the format and give her something to do besides
look exasperated?

I haven't seen last night's episode yet but so far their two best
episodes have been ones that didn't follow the formula.
