I just watched the episode when they met for the first time.., I don't
buy Richie going for her for one minute, also wasn't she a bit too 'New
York' to be residing in Milwaukee?

Kevrob...
Eh, maybe.

Albert Giesbrecht...
So was the Fonz, Laverne and Shirley, Carmine Raguso, and Al Develcio.

Kevrob...
Da Fonz, Laverne, The Big Ragu and Al wouldn't have been out of place
in MKE, then or now. There were thriving Italian neighbohoods inside
the city limits, notably in the "Third Ward" south of downtown, and
north of it, around Brady Street. The first was displaced by freeway
construction in the 60s. The second turned into Hippie Heaven for
about 10-15 years, and is still sorta boho. You can still get a good
Italian meal there.

Tony Calguire...
Glorioso's deli on Brady Street, and the Italian Cultural Center in the old
3rd ward, have excellent food.

Shirley Feeney never sounded that New Yorkish in the L&S series, though
she did a bit in her first appearance on HD.

HD probably could have had a few more characters who were of apparent
German and Polish backgrounds. I guess "Potsy" Weber was a squarehead.
If Zucker, Abrams and Zucker had made the show, they would probably
have gotten the mix right.
