I guess I paid enough attention to this sci-fi movie to say that I
"watched" it. The entertaining thing was the collection of somewhat
major sci-fi stars, from Buffy/Angel (Charisma Carpenter),
DS9/Enterprise (Jeffrey Combs ("Weyoun")), Earth: Final Conflict (the

hey, Trekkie! We know him as Dr Mordrid! Or the ReAnimator, or a slew of
other Full Moon Production heroes.

One day I will see ReAnimator. I had never heard of it before the
movie "American Beauty". I loved Combs in Trek, and never realized how

You talkin about Eric Mabius? (With a name like that, how can you not be in
shlocky scifi's?) he's not the Beastmaster, he was in the Crow 3... which

was in the movie "The Beastmaster".

Eric Mabius was not THE BEASTMASTER. In the movies it was the guy who
starred in a ton of 70's and 80's movies and shows, including the lead hero
in V and V:THE SERIES--outriding on horseback a spaceship--as well as
guesting as an "Obi Wan" like mentor on the syndicated tv version of THE
BEASTMASTER, That version was played by a younger actor from Australia
(natch since, like FARSCAPE, it was filmed there).

What I can't figure out is why the sci-fi channel spends so much on
these stars, but then doesn't put in the money or effort to give them

decent plots or dialogue. Instead, the channel decides the movie needs
many cool special effects, but because it spent all its money on the
actors, the special effects aren't cool at all; they stink.
