Good news for "Invasion" fans

Though not a ratings barn burner so far it is apparently in no
immediate danger of cancellation. In talking about the ditching after
one ep of "Emily's Reasons..." ABC brass said that "Invasion" is safe
because they "believe" in that show, which I guess means that they
expect a pickup in ratings.

I read that, and it does sound like goo news. Although if the ratings
don't pick up it's still possible for ABC to decide not to bring the
show back. At least it's likely that we will get to see at least one
full season of the show.

With the shappy treatment long-term story-arc series get most times on
network tv (see Reunion this year alone) I'll be happy if they at least
gets 1 full season.

You know the old joke - "Know when a network goon is lying?" "When
his/her lips are moving!"

I take nothing away from that quote, except that "Invasion" will
probably air all 22 episodes. (Though I don't even think it's all that
likely that the final ones will air in May - ABC may well move the
'finale' to April.)

But I think the odds of "Invasion" returning next Fall are quite low...
