Only 100 episodes as it limps to its final season (May 2006) after a
very surprising 5 years on the air. Barely enough for syndication. This
show hasn't panned out the way NBC probably wanted it to. Reruns hit
Comedy Central exclusively in a couple of years. I don't think it'd work
in traditional local TV markets syndication (?). Maybe The WB could pick
it up and air in their new afternoon programming block ('ER', 'Eight
Simple Rules For Dating My Teenage Daughters'/'Eight Simple Rules').

Barely enough?? 100 episodes used to be the benchmark for any sitcom to
have a successful go at weekday syndication. Nowadays they claim 88 is the
magic number. Of course, in years past, that didn't stop some shows from
being successfully stripped--The Honeymooners for years ran on just the
classic 39. I certainly remember in the early '80s, Carter Country being
reran with only 44 episodes to its credit. There are other many examples I'm
sure.

As for Scrubs, it will always probably be a show with a cult following but
never mass appeal. I watched it maybe 3 or 4 times.

The Don Adams sitcom 'Check It Out' lasted 3 years and TV Land (Canada)
has been spinning it for a couple years now.
